FUND RAISERS

You love shopping but hate the idea of giving a "hostess party". Many of us are reluctant to invite our friends to yet another party. We all fear that friends will feel obligated to buy something and resent the constant invitations.

Host a charity fund-raiser. You can choose the charity and particulars. I'll be happy to work with you on ideas.

Here's an idea I really like. The Charity is Suited for Change Suited for Change, providing clothing to women going back into the work force or changing careers and in need of suitable office attire.

Guests bring clothing, shoes, jewelry donations. They are bringing something to donate, so they've done their part. No obliglation to buy.

The dollar amount that would normally go to the hostess for jewelry purchases (10-15%) will donated to the charity.

A bodadacious evening - Shop, chat, share some good food and drinks AND do a good deed at the same time. What can be better than that?
